With E3 starting tomorrow, there's surely to be quite a few new games shown, more trailers, a couple screenshots, and overall hotness.  So let's keep the discussions to this thread and share our collective excitement (hopefully) for games coming out this year and early next.

EDIT: THIS IS PULLED STRAIGHT FROM THE SHOW NOTES FOR THIS WEEK, SO IT LOOKS HORRIBLE AND IS NOT THAT ORGANIZED:

Keep an eye on this thread, I'll update it with trailers and whatnot up until we record this week's episode.

Additional note: I don't have enough time to list all of the trailers, sorry.  I'd suggest GameTrailers for all the of the trailers of games in this thread.

Activision

    * Neversoft
          o Guitar Hero: World Tour.
                + Exclusives Van Halen, Metallica and the Eagles.
                + 85 songs.  All master tracks on the disc at launch.

Capcom

    * Resident Evil 5 >> http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36228.html
          o March 13th, 2009
    * Plunder
          o Name changed to: Age of Booty

EA

    * MTV/Harmonix
          o Rock Band 2
                + Will release first for the 360 in September.
                + Comes with 84 tracks on the disc, but you'll be able to donwnload 20 more (for free) when it's released for the other systems in November
                + You'll also be able to transfer "most' of the on-disc songs from RB1 into RB2 (for around a $5 transfer fee), as well as using all of the DLC in the new game.
                + Bob Dylan and AC/DC will be in the game, as will a new song off of the new Guns n' Roses album, Chinese Democracy.
                + FULL SETLIST >> http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/888/888781p1.html

Square Enix

    * Infinite Undiscovery September 2nd.
    * Last Remnant November 20th. Also coming to PC. >> http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36216.html
    * Star Ocean: The Last Hope Spring 2009.
    * FINAL FANTASY 13 COMING TO PS3 AND 360 SIMULTANEOUS in NA and EU >> http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36222.html
          o Not available on 360 in Japan
    * FFXIII Versus still PS3-only

Microsoft (rough)

    * Completely redisgined dashboard (http://evilavatar.com/images/XBDB.jpg) >> http://majornelson.com/archive/2008/07/14/some-of-the-features-in-the-new-xbox-experience-8-person-chat-vga-plus-more.aspx
          o Play from hard drive. Copy your games from the game disc and play directly from the hard drive. Not only will the drive not spin, but load times are quicker, as well. Of course, you will still need the disc in the tray to prove you own the game.
          o Access Xbox LIVE Marketplace on the Web. Browse and purchase Marketplace content whenever you want from Xbox.com and it downloads automatically to your console. Purchase that new map, television episode, the latest Xbox LIVE Arcade game or set up a movie to watch when you get home from work.
          o Dashboard built into the new Xbox Guide. For everyone who loves the blades interface, it’s not going away; they are now built directly in to the new Xbox guide. Every feature and option is available right from the guide. You can even access your full games library at all times. No matter where you are (in dash or in game), immediately call up your games played list and directly launch a game.
          o LIVE Party system. Create a party of up to eight friends, and stay with them from one game to another, or watch a Netflix movie together, or share a slideshow of your personal photos. It works with all Xbox 360 titles, not just upcoming games. LIVE Party allows up to eight people to chat in the dashboard, so you can meet up before playing.
          o Xbox LIVE Primetime. This whole new category of games is going to give you more reasons to get online with your friends. Games will support everything you’d expect, like Achievements and leader boards, but many of these games will include real prizes. You can invite your friends, and even set a reminder for an upcoming show. Each game is broadcast simultaneously, so everyone is answering the same questions. Many events will have a live host, calling the shots as they happen.
          o Avatars. Your online identity started as a Gamertag - it then grew into a personalized Gamercard. Now, it has evolved even further into avatars. You can express your style, check out new outfits and share this with the community. Avatars will also be integrated into Xbox LIVE Arcade games, LIVE Party, as well as retail games.
          o New display support. Because you asked for it, we are adding 16X10 over VGA or HDMI, and support for 1440x900 or 1680x1050.
    * NetFlix integrated directly into the Dashboard
          o Netflix customers will be able to stream movies to their Xbox for no additional fee.
          o You'll also be able to view movies with people on your friends list like you're all sitting on a virtual couch.

     Microsoft Games:

    * Fallout 3 >> http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36202.html
          o Fall
          o "substantial" DLC exculsive to 360 and PC
    * Fable 2
          o October, 2008
          o When someone on your friends list is playing the game, you'll see them as a floating orb as they move through the game world, and you'll be able to join together for co-op play at any time.
    * Gears of War 2 >> http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36219.html
          o November 7th, 2008.
          o Campaign has 2 player co-op, but there will be a 5 player mode in multiplayer.
          o (trailer?) Flamethrowers, elevators, grappling hooks, and riding the Broomax.
    * Scene-It: Box Office Smash
          o A new version of Scene-It
          o Will be the first game to integrate the Avatars into the gameplay.
    * You're In the Movies
          o Uses the Vision Camera to put you into B-Movies (can you make your own?)
    * Lips
          o Karaoke game developed by INIS, creators of EBA
          o Ships this holiday season w/ two wireless mics, allowing for duets.
          o Comes with music on the disc, but will also let you use your own tracks from a Zune or an iPod.

    * XBLA Games
          o Geometry Wars 2
          o Uno Rush
          o Galaga Colonies >> http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36214.html
                + From the same team that made Pac Man CE
          o Banjo-Kazooie
                + N64 Original
          o "A new South Park game"
          o Portal: Still Alive >> http://www.gametrailers.com/player/36209.html
                + A new Portal for XBLA only.
                + New levels and new achievements

Square-Enix announced Final Fantasy XIII for both PS3 and 360 simultaneous worldwide release.  At least I know we'll have something to talk about on this week's episode Tongue

Looks like my PS3 is back to being a big shiny PSX and blu-ray player now.  Unless FF13 looks a hell of a lot better on PS3, of course.

                + Allegeldy a different, non-balance board version coming to other systems
    * Animal Crossing: City Folk
          o Wii in 2008
          o It's Animal Crossing in a city.  Not much known about the actual gameplay outside of a few boring snippets.

          o A microphone for on top of your Wii's Sensor Bar
          o Allows for a whole room of people to send messages and chat with their friends
    * Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party

Because this game sounds awesome and I need to buy it, I wanted to share the description for Fat Princess:

Frantic and fun, Fat Princess pits two hordes of players against each other in comic medieval battle royale. Your goal is to rescue your beloved princess from the enemy dungeon. There’s a catch though: your adversary has been stuffing her with food to fatten her up and it’s going to take most of your army working together to carry her back across the battlefield.

Awesome.

Errata: I mention it this week's episode that Sony was going to release Valkyria Chronicles for PSP.  This was a press release issue and will not be releasing on PSP.  It is still coming out on PS3, though.

More screenshots, videos, and info will be coming tomorrow.  I have to edit the podcast tonight and then I can concentrate on this thread Cheesy
