I have a really bad feeling this year is going to be E3D. Meaning, of course, every announcement is going to be 3D related. I want to hope for the best, but logic isn't allowing me to. I do have some hopes that won't come true and here they are:
ZOE 3 officially announced. Diablo 3 gets a release date. Back to basics Final Fantasy or FFVII remake.(Never going to happen) Demon Soul's 2 or something else brilliant from Atlus. Last Guardian update. Confirmation on the multiplayer 2D Castlevania
I hate to be so pessimistic, but its really hard not to be. I'm excited about being wrong. Lets hope I'm wrong.

Don't forget about all the motion control stuff. Something tells me this isn't going to be the best E3... Oh yeah, I and I bet that "surprise" Valve replaced the Portal 2 showing with a playable demo of Left 4 Dead 3, out this fall.

Yeah, that would be quite a kick to the groin, but aside from release dates Valve rarely disappoints me.

There is still a lot of life left in L4D2, and unreleased DLC for L4D!

I hate to admit it, but I want 3d. if done right, it would be a great gaming experience. I'm not sure why everyone wants to be down on it.
basically I'm hoping for a good 3d showing at e3 to change peoples prospectives.

There's a few reasons why 3D gaming could be bad: As Boston has said numerous times on the podcast, some people just can't see 3D. This could be a big issue if a game doesn't have a 3D toggle on it. Aside from that, if it requires glasses, you'd either have to buy a bunch of pairs for when your friends come over. Could you imagine if the Wii was 3D? You'd have to buy 4 Wiimotes, 4 Nunchuks, and 4 pairs of 3D glasses just so three of your friends could come over and play a game with you. Aside from those problems, I think 3D could be neat, but it's not something that needs to be as focused on as it is right now, in my opinion.

I'm not close minded to the idea, and I think there are good visual experiences to be had. The problem is that developers tend to have blinders when it comes to the big new money making idea. They charge straight ahead with a game without stepping back for a moment to see if this is what gamers want, or if other portions of the development are going well, etc. I don't want to see it get out of hand, but it seems that the developers think this is a "sure thing". On a personal note I think the developers time is better spent elsewhere in this deadline development culture.

I'm kind of expecting FF XIII VS to be announced as a port to the 360 (would make sense as XIII did so well sales-wise). I'd also really hope that rather than a slim version MS will reveal a new console with full support for everything on 360 including Natal but with a Blu-ray drive and enhanced graphics capability. Its the oldest of the current gen after all and a new console would really help MS especially if they could get it out by the end of the year world-wide with no production flaws this time...

I'm still saying the Valve announcement is that the Xbox version of TF2 is getting the update with all the weapons, equipment, and hats. The update will hit day in date with the release of the update on the PC.

That would be...great. I love TF2 on PC, but the fact that my PC can't really run it combined with my not being able to control PC FPS's as well as consoles just make me really want to have that feature on the Xbox version. I'd pay for it, even.

Let's also keep the discussions about E3's reveals in this thread. It can be our one-stop shop for all things E3 2010 Also, keep an eye out for individual studios' live streams. Hopefully there'll be another completely out of control Ubisoft presentation this year.

Nah, they need to take it a bit further and make an episodic L4D3 with motion controls and 3D. Both required with no toggle. That'd sell like mad.

Maybe it'll be something completely out of left field, like Black Mesa Source being turned into an official game, and lumped in with Portal 2.

I would almost expect to see FF14 announced for 360 first. Maybe we will get a larger trailer of VS and Agito. LIVE's interface would make 14 a lot of fun. I've also been hearing more chatter about people going to play the game at SE recently. Thankfully, it is more FF9 and less Everquest. New Zelda to be dated for late Q1 2011. Official release date and launch trailer for Metroid Other M provided. The game won't be as good as expected because Team Ninja's involvement was not as large as we were lead to believe. Vitality Sensor will be explained in greater detail. Wii Party is the new Mario Party. It will sell millions, and only be fun for a few hours. Oh, and Nintendo needs more of this:
