I would love to hear some tunes from the original NES Ninja Gaiden. Next to Megaman, I think it has some of the best 8-bit music around.

That's a great suggestion!  I keep forgetting how great that soundtrack is.

Dude, I just discovered an artist on iTunes named brentalfloss. Even if you don't play it on the show, I suggest you check it out! Classic video game tunes, with lyrics! Think "weird Al" of video games! Hilarious!

His stuff is very hit or miss. The Mega Man 3 one is great, as is the Mega Man 2 Dr. Wily stage, but the Zelda one with him dressing up? Not a fan.

well, I only heard the 30 seconds that itunes provides, didn't pull the trigger and purchase the album yet. It's $10 for 20 tracks. worth it?

Well you can hear a lot of his stuff on Youtube and Screwattack.com.
Personally he's a little too potty-mouthed for my tastes.

Check out Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts Showdown Town Theme. It has really beautiful orchestration, and is unmistakably Rare at it best.

Worth a listen if nothing else... and I would argue it's worth a play (Although many people would disagree with me there.)

It kinda reminds me of a 90's Disney movie.  Smiley

Dear Loyal DS Listeners,

I'm working on a few theme episodes at the moment and the one that's farthest along is "Relaxing with Dynamic Soundtrack: Volume 1", but I need your help!  I already have ~10 songs picked out, but I feel like I need some more.  I won't spoil my suggestions so far, but any other suggestions for quiet and/or piano driven songs would help a lot.  Thanks Cheesy

That's a little high-energy for that episode, but I'm definitely setting it aside for another show.  Thanks Cheesy

I just remembered, the opening theme from Chrono Cross is fantastic! Wouldn't mind hearing that on a future episode.

I personally think that track, Scars of Time, is one of the best, if not the best, video game songs of all time.  I think I just found the perfect episode for it to go into.

Here's the track if anyone hasn't heard it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laMvJf9UNdc

One man looks at a dying bird and thinks there's nothing but unanswered pain. That death's got the final word, it's laughing at him. Another man sees that same bird, feels the glory, feels something smiling through it.
